It's the Friday night of a long weekend, and I feel so free. No school for three days. That is such an amazing feeling! So, with this semi-free evening, I thought that I would take this opportunity to be a part of the Gridblog for this week. I probably would have wrote a 'thankfulness' blog this weekend anyways, but this way, I get to be a part of the Gridblog.
Thinking back, even just over this past year, and looking ahead to what is to come, I know that I have so much to be thankful for. Even though I often don't appreciate these people/things like I should, I am so thankful for each of them.
Here's my list, which is by no means complete:
* My mom and dad - they're pretty great. There's so much to say - but I won't even start.
* Jonathan and Alicia - being away from these two has made me appreciate them so much more. They're the greatest brother and sister ever.
* The rest of my family - grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, etc.
* All of my friends - old and new.
* My "family" in Waterloo - Paul, Jackie, Gracie, Heidi and Heather
* My church family in Waterloo, and back home in Regina
* School - I am so thankful to be getting the education that I am. Our education system is pretty incredible, and I am just thankful to be able to go to school and learn about something that I love.
* Zambia - and all the beautiful people that live there.
* The fact that I have a roof over my head, food in my stomach, and a warm bed to sleep in.
And last, but not least . . .
* God - the provider of all the above blessings. He's pretty great. He's been there through it all, and I'm just thankful that He loves me, guides me and takes care of me.
That's it for now. I'm not in a thinking/typing/blogging mood tonight. I'd rather go curl up in my bed and watch a movie. Which I think I will do right now.
Have a wonderful Thanksgiving weekend. Take some time to think of the blessings in your life, and to be thankful for them.
