This has got to be very quick. It's Monday, and normally I'm at the orphanage everyday during the week. Today, I had to come in to town to get Visa stuff figured out at immigration. Long story short - I thought there might be a problem with my Visa, even though I was assured in Canada that there wouldn't be a problem. Sure enough, there is a problem - and I've had to dish out $50 US to get a new Visa. Not too impressed - I'll be expressing my thoughts to the High Commission when I get home. Anyways, worrying about it here isn't doing me any good.
Safari was AWESOME! So, so great! Five days, four parks - and a whole lot of animals! It would have been so worth it just to see some of the country, but seeing all the animals made it even better! We saw everything, like absolutely everything - elephants, giraffes, wildebeests, lions, leopards, cheetahs, rhinos, buffalo, etc, etc, etc. It was great - so beautiful!
And it is good to be back with my kids! I missed them a lot when I was gone on safari! And now there are 3 other girls that I have to share them with. :( Not too impressed with that - but they seem nice enough, and I guess it is nice to have other people around. They actually left Saturday morning for their safari (I got home Friday night), and are coming back tonight, so I had the place (and kids) to myself for a couple days, which I enjoyed. It was fun to be back with the kids and the orphanage workers this weekend. I just really like these people - a lot!
Okay, so many stories, but so little time. I'm on my way back to immigration to pick up my passport. At least it is dealt with, and I won't have to worry about it any longer.
Thanks for those who have sent emails. It sometimes takes forever to load them up - but I love reading them when they actually load. Keep them coming.
Okay, got to go. Sorry for the rush rush of this email. I still think of you all often, and hope that things are going well for all of you. It is one month from today when I will arrive home! That is exciting - but also kind of sad. My time in Africa is already half over! :(
Love,
Jilly
