I'm back.

Even with my absence from the blog, not too much of significance has happened. But, as an update from my last blog, I now have my new passport. It's exciting to have it, and to have a full 5 years, and 48 blank pages ahead of me. I have no idea what stamps and visas will accumulate on those pages - but that's part of the fun of it! Back in 2003 when I got my first passport, I had no idea the places I would go with it - and it took me quite a few places! It was kind of sad retiring the old one - it's like an old friend. More than that though, it's a snapshot of 5 years of my life, full of stamps and visas that represent SO many memories.

Unfortunately though, my placements have not been finalized, and are still weighing heavily on me. I have until March 31st to get my plans for the spring/summer term figured out, which isn't really that much time. I had been hoping to go to Victoria for my Canadian PC term. I had found a practice that I really wanted to go it - it just seemed like a perfect fit. But just this past week, they FINALLY got back to me saying that they don't have an extra exam room for me to use, and so I can't come. Could they not have told me that 2 months ago when I first contacted them, instead of me having to write, email, phone and fax them? Needless to say, I was kind of annoyed with them (as it now leaves me scrambling to find something in this next month), and quite disappointed. Because of this, I'll be looking for something within Saskatchewan, so at least I'll get to be home for a month or two. For the other half, I'm still trying to get something overseas secured - and some of them are looking promising. I just need to get it finalized though, so that I can book flights! AAH! I trust that everything will come together in time - even though it's stressing me out right now!

I was home just over a week ago for my Reading Week. It was so great to be at home, and to have time to just be there, rather than worrying about studying. And I got to see several of my favourite people, which is always great!

And the final thing of significance that has happened - I wrote my last midterm! Not just of this semester, not just of this year, but EVER! And it's a good feeling! Although, I think it will feel even better come April when I am all done writing finals!

hi friend...here I am...studying for my last midterm...only the last one for this semester though. :( But it will still be great to have that over with. It is that darn Econ of Developing Countries. SO interesting...but SO hard. yikes.
Oh well.
I was sad to hear about your PC thing not working out. I am happy to hear that you may be back in SK though! Hey, have you looked at MACHA hospital for your overseas term? I have no idea if they have eye stuff there...but it might be worth looking into...and I believe that they are online. If not, I bet Sue could hook you up.
Anyway...I better run along. Thanks for posting...I miss reading your blog when I'm supposed to be studying! haha:)
Okay...talk to you soon.
Love Tamara
