I made it to Ontario and back safely. It was SO nice to be there. The weather was perfect, the wedding was so beautiful, and I was just thankful to be a part of the day. I had such a good time being with Elizabeth and the other bridesmaids. The funny thing about the bridesmaids was that 3 of the 4 are named Jill (or Gillian). It made for some confusion, a few laughs, and a good conversation starter with the people I didn't know. I could always just introduce myself as "one of the Jills". It was a short, but sweet visit - and I was glad for the opportunity to be there to celebrate with some good friends. I don't have many pictures from the weekend, but I'll share a few that I got from my friends.
While I was there, I was struck about how dynamic life is. It's constantly changing. Sometimes you get in a comfortable place, and feel like it would be perfect if everything just stayed exactly how it is right in that very moment. But, I'm so thankful that life isn't that way, that it isn't static, and that it is constantly moving and changing. Three years ago, I had no idea who Elizabeth or Ben were, and now I consider them among some of my dearest friends in Waterloo, and in my life right now. I'm glad that my life's path crossed their life's path. And while our paths may go separate ways again in the future, I can be thankful for the time that I did spend with them, and for the friendship that we can continue to share.
