Trying to study 4 years worth of material is an interesting experience - and it makes me realize that I've learned more these past couple years than I even realize (or give myself credit for). It is good to be reminded of all that I have learned - just the process of doing it is NO FUN. I'm dealing with it pretty well most days though. As I get further through the material, the number of times that I just want to curl up in the middle of floor in a heap and give up, are getting fewer. I'm feeling confident in what I know, and keep telling myself that I can't have gone through 4 years of school and not know anything.
In days like these, where it's hours upon hours of studying, it's the little things that I rely on to make me smile and keep me going. Getting phone calls, or texts, or messages from home, helps me to feel somewhat normal, and reminds me that there is a light at the end of the tunnel, and that I will get there eventually.
Or then there is the random things that make me smile, like this little guy who decided to have a little nap on the roof this afternoon. I watched him from my window for a little while. :)
And then there's the things like this that just always make me smile. Because I love it there. :)

Hi Jilly,
I am thinking of you today as you begin your exams. I know how well you have prepared, not only in these past few weeks, but in the four previous years of study. I pray for you today, tomorrow, Friday and Saturday - when you can finally yell, "I'm done!" and head off on a sweet road trip with your sweet sister.
God is with you.
Love, mom xo
