7 down, 3 more to go!

In that, I am meaning midterms! Even after what seems like an eternity of writing midterms, I still have 3 more of them to go. Fortunately, I only have one this week, and not until Thursday, which gives me a bit of a break, and a chance to catch up on some other work that has fallen aside while I focused on the more urgent midterms. The following week I have two, along with a paper due, but after that, my heavy workload should be over for the most part. At least until finals start up, that is!

I have gotten a few more of the midterms back. Some of them I wasn't so happy with myself about my mark - but I feel much better now after having talked to the profs, and reassured myself that I will study super hard for the final.

I wrote an interesting test last week - my visual perception one. I had heard lots of stories going into it about what to expect. Mostly all the stories involved that we should all pretty much expect to not do very well on this test. I studied fairly hard for it, and felt like I knew my material pretty well. Leaving the room after writing though, I had absolutely no idea how I did on that test. On most tests, you have at least some idea of what your mark will be like - but there is no way that you could have any idea in that one. There was just so much room for error - ones that you were sure you got right, could easily be wrong, simply because you misread the question or the answer choices. Anyways, I think that I will get the mark back from that one tomorrow. I am very interested to see how I did. But I am not going to get myself worked up if I didn't do too well, because every other person in the class will be in the exact same boat as me.

My exam schedule is FINALLY out - so I now know when I will be coming home at Christmas. I write my last exam on the morning of the 21st, and will fly home that afternoon, arriving in Regina at about 7:30 PM. It will be so good to be home! I can't wait! December will be a busy month for me here - classes are finished on the 5th, and I write exams on the 8th, 10th, 12th, 14th, 16th, 19th and 21st. It's pretty insane, but it is a pretty nice schedule, since we don't have any on the same day, and no back to back days either. It gives us plenty of time to study for each of the exams - but unfortunately not much time for anything else. Oh well, I will have about two weeks of just enjoying myself at home, not having to think about anything to do with school.

Last Thursday night, I went out for Bubble Tea with some of my school friends, since it was one of the girl's birthdays. It was nice to spend some time with them outside of school. I might go to a musical with them - Seussical the Musical - in November. Tomorrow night (Halloween), I will be at the church here, helping with a Family Fun Night. They have lots of different stations for kids to go around to - it should be a fun night!

Mom and Dad are coming in just under two weeks. It will be great to have them here, and to show them around my "new" life here. Thankfully, by that weekend, my paper will be done and all my midterms over, so I can just enjoy spending the weekend with them.

Not much else is new here. Just wanted to let you know that I think of you all often, and look forward to being able to see many of you at Christmas.
