So, here it is . . . finally the weekend! My body is so exhausted from the past couple weeks of school. I am in the full swing of midterms now. I have had two in both of the last two weeks, and have three to look forward to next week! And then still three more to go after that! The joys of being a student! How is it that no matter how much work I do there is always SO much more to be done? Or why is it that whenever I work and study hard, I become more overwhelmed at what needs to be done, instead of less overwhelmed? Basically, life is crazy with school right now. You could say that I really have no life outside of school! One day this week, I was at school for 15 hours! 15 hours! I had classes from 8:30 until 4:30, and then I stayed and studied from 4:30 to 11:00! Craziness!
I just received my first midterm back today - and I am more than pleased with my mark. Unfortunately, I don't think that I will be quite as pleased with the two that I wrote this week. Oh well - such is life. The majority of my time will be taken up with studying this weekend. One of the exams that I write this next week is Visual Perception. I have heard a lot of "horror" stories about this one. It's like an urban legend - everyone has their own version of how the midterm will be, and how it seems like Dr. Hovis is out trying to fail some of us. I guess we will see come Thursday! It can't be that bad - can it?! Either way - I am not willing to risk it!
On a more interesting school note, I got to go into an Anatomy lab this past week with real cadavers. We didn't get to see much - we only looked at the brains. But we get to go back for two more weeks, and will look more at brains, and at the spinal cord as well. It is definitely pretty interesting - and neat to actually see it, instead of just learning it from a book or a model.
Not much else is new here - so I guess that it is time to hit the books! Talk to you all later!

Holy Toledo! Your life as student sounds much more demanding than the rest of us! Hang in there and work hard...I know you will, Ms. Diligent!
