i have a minute

I have a bit of time before I head off to play two hockey games, so I thought I would make good use of my time. Life is finally starting to slow down here some. I finished up my last two midterms on Wednesday, so I'm enjoying having some time free from studying. It's crazy to think that there is only a couple more weeks of classes left this semester. I have one group project, one paper, and some labs to finish up - but that's it before finals. Wasn't I just saying this same thing last semester? This semester has not been one of my favourite ones - not because it's been overly difficult, but simply because it's been a little dry and boring at times. Add to that the fact that we've had to miss/reschedule many classes for numerous reasons (including two snow days), and it's been downright frustrating at times as well.

Tonight is the big Eye Ball. For those of you who have been reading my blog for a year or so, you will know that this is the Optometry formal Dinner and Dance. I can't say that I'm entirely ecstatic about going - but it should be a fun night, getting dressed up, and hanging out with my school friends. I don't have a camera - but hopefully I can get some pictures off of my friends, and post some pictures on here soon.

Hmmmm. The weather has started getting nicer here, and I'm hoping that it stays warm. As much as I love winter, I'm ready for the snow to melt, so that I can get outside again. I'm getting tired of being cooped up inside all the time, and I'm itching to get my bike out, or go for runs outside.

I think that's about it from here. Oh yeah, less than two months until I'll be home. Now that is exciting!

Hey, Jilly,
Happy "Eye Ball" tonight! It doesn't seem like that long ago that you were off to your first Eye Ball and now your second is about to happen. Second year has gone quickly and it will soon be over and you will be on to exciting adventures.
Poor Alic is not well. We spent the morning at the Dr and the lab and now she is sleeping on the couch. She didn't get much sleep last night so she needs it. Hopefully the medicine prescribed will fix her up soon.
We will talk to you soon and would love to see some photos. Have lots of fun.
Love, mom xoxo
