I had a most excellent weekend. Firstly (and most importantly), I wrote my last final on Saturday morning. It's an incredible feeling to walk out of that last exam . . . and to know that you don't have to rush home and hit the books right away. I'm pretty sure everyone had a permanent smile on their faces as they came out of the room. Afterwards, I tossed the frisbee around with some friends, and then grabbed a pita with a couple of them. Besides having to say goodbye, it was a good way to start off our break from school.

It was a beautiful day, so once I got home, I decided that I didn't want to stay inside for the whole day. I wanted to get outside . . . but not just walk to where I normally walk to. I wanted to do something different. So, I hauled my bike out of the shed and decided to go for a nice long ride. I ended up out in St. Jacobs at the Farmer's Market, and then went the 4 km further into town, and looked around in shops. It was so great to be out in the sun, and able to just enjoy the day! On the way home, I stopped and got some gelato. It was a long ride, and a good workout - but it felt so good! I love biking - and I just wish I could have my bike at home for the summer.

Yesterday was an amazing day too! On the way to church, me and Jackie decided that we would take a day trip somewhere. So, right after church, we headed home, packed a lunch and hit the road! We went to Niagara Falls, and looked around there for a while, went and looked around at a winery, drove through Niagara-on-the-Lake, and then drove home. Once home, we enjoyed a delicious supper of steak and salad. It was an awesome day!

It definitely feels like summer now. School is over. I'm driving home soon. The weather is beautiful. My shoulders are a little bit sun-burned. And I have a pretty intense start on my sandal tan, even though I've only worn them about three times! Summer is here - and I couldn't be more happy about it!

Right now, I'm just finishing up the last of my packing. Karen, who I'm driving home with, is coming over at some point this afternoon, and we are going to get some snack foods, and then try and pack some of the car. Hopefully it all fits! I didn't pack 'Big Purple' (anybody who has travelled with me knows what 'Big Purple' is) - so things should fit in alright! It seems like I'm taking a lot of stuff home - and I really am. It's when I'm packing that I realize that I have WAY, WAY too much stuff. I'm hoping to whittle it down somewhat this summer.

Well, this is the last that you will hear from me . . . probably until I am back in Regina!! I'm so excited to be going home! If any of you are in Regina and want to hang out sometime, I should be home by the 26th, and am leaving for Africa on May 15th! I would love to see any of you during that time!
