i'm home for the weekend, and it's been so good so far. i took thursday afternoon and friday off, and monday is a holiday, so i get an extended period of time at home. thankfully the highways opened up right around the time i was hoping to leave on thursday, so that i was able to make it home. betty-jean, chris and sandra are here for the weekend as well ... so it's been a good family time. we tend to laugh a lot when we're all together!

highlights so far include:
-bryan adams solo acoustic show on thursday night with jonathan and alicia. this was so, so awesome! he played so many good songs ... and it was so nice just having the guitar (and a piano on a few songs) accompanying his classic raspy voice. so fun to do it with the siblings too ... always a good time when the three of us get together.
-a big sing-along last night with alicia. we were pulling out all sorts of classic songs, and having a blast singing them loudly.
-a walk around wascana lake this morning with dad. nice to be outside and enjoy some time with him.
-brunch this morning with the whole family. good food, and some good laughs.

looking forward to:
-going to a movie with sandra and alicia this afternoon
-playing hockey with alicia, jonathan and dad at the church hockey game tonight.
-heart-shaped pizzas and ice cream cake after the hockey game.
-chocolate fondue tomorrow night!
