Today I received an email from my mom with the following words:
Hi Jilly,
I just have two words to say to you! YOU PASSED!
It goes like this: YES YES YES YES YES YES YES
I just brought in the mail and saw the envelope and my heartbeat immediately went up. I sat down and opened it and saw those sweet words - Congratulations on successfully completing ...
Sweet, sweet words!
Four years ago (almost to the day!), while in Estonia, I got the phone call from home, telling me that I had been accepted into the Waterloo School of Optometry. I can remember those moments so clearly: the phone ringing, thinking it was weird that my mom was calling since I had talked to her just the day before, realizing why she was calling and feeling a little weak in the knees, telling Tamara and breaking down and having a little cry session together, pulling myself together quickly so that my team could go over to a readers' house for supper, and all the celebrations with teammates and friends while in Estonia!
It seems so fitting that it all comes to a close in Estonia! So cool that my path to the School of Optometry officially began and ended here!
I feel a huge relief off my shoulders, and am pretty stoked right now! Celebrations will definitely be happening soon! Wish everyone could be here to celebrate with me!
Now on to actually finding a job ... :)
More from Dr. Jill later! May your day be just as blessed as mine!

Such sweet news!! I am so proud of you! How neat that Estonia has been the bookends of your optometry experience. I remember that phone call in 2005 clearly myself. Don't forget to celebrate!
Love, mom
