18/31 - a few of my favourite things (right now!)

ON TV:
LOST - this show just gets better and better with every episode. You can NEVER see what's coming, and new questions are constantly being opened up, with old questions never fully being answered. If you don't watch this show, you should be, but you'll probably need to watch all the other seasons in order to have any idea what is going on. Basically, the only hour of television worth watching during the week, in my opinion.

MUSIC:
Joshua Radin - this guy has been on my music radar for only a couple of months, but he was immediately one of my favourites! Very easy to listen to, and catchy!

BLOGS: I'm a bit of a blog stalker, and I spend lots of time reading blogs of people that I don't know. Just people that I happen to come across their blogs, and really enjoy reading what they have to share. These are a couple of my favourites.

The Journey - written by a girl, about 20 years old, who after a visit to Africa, started up her own ministry, and now lives in Uganda, is a mom to many children, and helps many other children go to school, and stay happy and healthy. Her passion for serving God through serving people in Uganda is so evident, and I love reading the stories of her life in Africa. It makes me yearn to be there even more. Her insights into life, and faith, and serving are incredible, and I come away from her blog encouraged every time.

Jen Lemen - I've been reading this blog for about a year, and love all the encouraging words and stories that she provides to her readers. She also took a trip to Africa several months ago, and came back with such love and passion overflowing from her heart for the people there. I could identify so easily with exactly what she was experiencing after she came back.

RANDOM:
TOMS Shoes - I've written about them before, but they deserve another mention. With the coming of spring, I'm starting to get excited about digging out all my spring/summer shoes and being able to wear them again. Two of those pairs are my TOMS shoes. I first heard about TOMS shoes about a year ago, and I just think it is the greatest idea EVER! Their motto is "Shoes for a Better Tomorrow" and "One for One", meaning that for every pair of shoes that is purchased, another pair is given to a child in need. What an incredible idea! Anyways, the shoes are super cute and comfortable - and I think everyone should get a pair of them! They have lots of nice new spring styles up on their website.
