little joys.

A few things I've been loving lately:

• Easter weekend in Calgary with Alicia. To say that the weekend was good would be an understatement! We had so much fun together, and with good friends! One of the highlights would definitely be the John Mayer concert on Saturday night, especially after Heather and Harm decided to be spontaneous, and pick up last-minute tickets to come too! Being with people who KNOW me was so good for the heart ... I realized even more just how much I've missed that, and how important it is to me!
  
• Having family here all last week! It was so awesome to have Jonathan, Sarah, and mom and dad all here for their Easter break. I loved just being with them, and having people around to share my house with! There truly is nothing quite like family ...
  
• The No. 1 Ladies' Detective Agency series on DVD - I purchased this a couple weeks ago, and have just so enjoyed watching the episodes. It's so well done, and just so ... Africa. And well, it just makes my heart happy to watch it. Has definitely brightened a few of my days! Now, I just need to get on reading those books ...

• 'Pick of the Week' Free Music Downloads from Starbucks - I looove free things, so it's great when I go to Starbucks, and get a free download of a song on iTunes! It's an extra bonus when it ends up being a song that I really love. A few of my favourites that I've picked up over the last couple months are: Amy Millan - Low Sail, The Avett Brothers - I and Love and You, Brandi Carlile - Dying Day and Patty Griffin - Little Fire.
• Being a part of the Slywka Family NHL Playoff Draft last night through speaker phone. And the fact that Jonathan, Alicia and Sarah made playoff shirts, and made one to send to me too! I picked the Caps as my team - so I hope Ovechkin can take them all the way!
